Siemens and Nvidia Expand AI Partnership to Transform Industrial Production

German engineering giant Siemens and US chipmaker Nvidia have announced an expansion of their artificial intelligence partnership, unveiling new initiatives during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

During Siemens’ keynote address on Tuesday, CEO Roland Busch and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the collaboration aims to move AI applications beyond simulation and design optimization toward full integration into real-world industrial production processes.

Huang described the shift as the beginning of a new era, stating: “Generative AI and accelerated computing have ignited a new industrial revolution,” according to the German Press Agency (dpa).

A core element of the partnership is the digital twin authoring tool, which enables companies to create highly accurate virtual replicas of factories and products. Engineers can now simulate factories in real time, train robots virtually, and identify potential issues before physical construction begins.

The two companies are working toward developing a joint operating system for industrial AI, combining Siemens’ expertise in industrial processes, automation hardware, and software with Nvidia’s AI infrastructure, chips, and simulation platforms.
