Elon Musk’s Starlink Offers Free High-Speed Internet to Venezuela Until February 3
Starlink, the satellite internet service owned by U.S. billionaire Elon Musk, announced it will provide free high-speed internet access to all residents of Venezuela until February 3, in a move aimed at maintaining connectivity across the country.
In a post on the social media platform X, quoted by Fox News on Sunday, Musk said that Starlink is offering free internet service to Venezuelans “to ensure continued connectivity and to support the people of Venezuela.”
The announcement comes shortly after the United States launched a large-scale military operation in Venezuela, during which U.S. special forces arrested President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, according to reports.
Starlink operates through a network of low-Earth orbit satellites, delivering fast and reliable internet services that can serve as an alternative to traditional terrestrial networks, particularly during crises or infrastructure disruptions.
