The National Postal Authority and the University of Tanta sign a cooperation protocol to provide postal and financial services within the university
The National Postal Authority and Tanta University signed a cooperation protocol to activate a range of integrated financial and postal services within the university, to serve students, faculty members and employees.
The protocol was signed by Mr. Sayed Taman, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Postal Authority for Regional Affairs, and Dr. Mahmoud Farouk Salim, Vice President of Tanta University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, in the presence of university leaders.
Ms. Dalia Al-Baz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Post Authority, stressed that this cooperation comes within the framework of the Authority's strategy to expand the scope of its services within major educational institutions, pointing out that the protocol includes the provision of many services provided by the Egyptian Post such as consular certification of student certificates, collection of university fees, delivery of certificates to graduates, and the disbursement of salaries through post offices, in addition to the installation of ATM machines (ATM) on campus.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Mahmoud, President of the University of Tanta, said that this protocol reflects the university's keenness to strengthen cooperation with national state institutions to serve the educational process and achieve the interest of students and employees, explaining that this step represents a qualitative leap in facilitating university services, as students will be able to pay fees and obtain their official certificates through an integrated postal system within the university, within the framework of moving towards the smart university and digital services compatible with Egypt's Vision 2030.
In the same context, Mr. Sayed Taman, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Postal Authority, explained that this cooperation confirms the confidence of the University of Tanta in the capabilities of the Egyptian Post to provide fast and safe services that serve the academic community and students, pointing out that the protocol includes multiple items aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two sides, including the allocation of a post office within the university to provide all the services provided by the Egyptian Post, in addition to collecting fees for graduate studies and university cities.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Farouk Salim, Vice President of Tanta University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, also expressed his great appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with the National Post Authority, stressing that this protocol comes within the university's efforts to support digital transformation and facilitate services within the campus, pointing out that this cooperation represents a successful model of integration between state institutions in serving citizens, expressing thanks and appreciation to the National Postal Authority for its support and continuous efforts in developing services that touch the life of the university community.
