The U.S. dollar maintained relative stability against the Egyptian pound during midday trading on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

According to the Central Bank of Egypt, the dollar recorded EGP 48.44 for purchase and EGP 48.57 for sale.

At major banks, rates were largely aligned:

National Bank of Egypt (NBE): EGP 48.60 (buy), EGP 48.70 (sell)

Banque Misr: EGP 48.63 (buy), EGP 48.73 (sell)

Bank of Alexandria: EGP 48.60 (buy), EGP 48.70 (sell)

Commercial International Bank (CIB): EGP 48.62 (buy), EGP 48.72 (sell)

Bank of Cairo: EGP 48.62 (buy), EGP 48.72 (sell)

Currency analysts noted that the dollar’s stability reflects cautious trading amid ongoing global market uncertainties, with attention turning to international monetary policy trends and local economic performance.
