US Dollar Holds Steady Against Egyptian Pound at Start of Sunday Trading – August 10, 2025

The US dollar remained stable against the Egyptian pound at the start of trading on Sunday, according to the latest updates from both public and private sector banks.
Dollar Rates in Banks Today
At Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, the dollar stood at EGP 48.52 for buying and EGP 48.62 for selling, unchanged from the previous session.
Al Ahli Kuwaiti Bank posted rates of EGP 48.52 for buying and EGP 48.56 for selling.
In Industrial Development Bank, SAIB, Housing & Development Bank, and MID Bank, the greenback traded at EGP 48.52 for buying and EGP 48.62 for selling.
Alexandria Bank recorded EGP 48.51 for buying and EGP 48.61 for selling.
A wide range of banks, including Banque Misr, HSBC, Egyptian Arab Land Bank, National Bank of Egypt, Arab African International Bank, Arab Bank, Suez Canal Bank, Commercial International Bank (CIB), First Abu Dhabi Bank, Al Baraka Bank, United Bank, National Bank of Kuwait, Crédit Agricole, Ahli United Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, and Faisal Islamic Bank, quoted the dollar at EGP 48.50 for buying and EGP 48.60 for selling.
Qatar National Bank (QNB) set its rate at EGP 48.48 for buying and EGP 48.58 for selling, while Next Bank offered EGP 48.42 for buying and EGP 48.52 for selling.
Banque du Caire posted EGP 48.39 for buying and EGP 48.49 for selling, and the Export Development Bank of Egypt quoted EGP 48.37 for buying and EGP 48.47 for selling.
At the Central Bank of Egypt, the official rate was EGP 48.39 for buying and EGP 48.52 for selling.
