Gold prices in Egypt recorded a notable increase on Saturday, with the benchmark 21-carat gold jumping by EGP 40 per gram, tracking the global surge in the price of the ounce, which reached $3,369.
Local gold prices today were as follows:
24-carat: EGP 5,234 per gram
21-carat (the most traded): EGP 4,580 per gram
18-carat: EGP 3,926 per gram
Gold pound (8 grams of 21-carat): EGP 36,640
