Thndr Dominates Egypt’s Brokerage Market with EGP 16.97 Billion in Weekly Trades
Thndr Securities claimed the top position among brokerage firms operating on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) during the current week, recording EGP 16.97 billion in trading value and securing 24.5% of total market activity. The company led the rankings in both trading value and transaction volume, according to the weekly figures.
The ranking of the 10 leading brokerage firms reflected varying levels of activity across trading value, the number of shares exchanged, and completed transactions.
Thndr Maintains a Clear Lead Over Competitors
Thndr Securities ranked first with EGP 16.97 billion in trades, representing 24.5% of total trading. Its activity reached 3.69 billion shares through 787,120 transactions.
Al Ahly Pharos Securities followed in second place, generating EGP 8.17 billion in trading value and accounting for 11.8% of the market. The firm traded 196.93 million shares through 29,450 transactions.
Mubasher Securities and Bonds secured third place with EGP 4.58 billion in trades, equivalent to 6.6% of total activity. Its transactions covered 1.14 billion shares across 97,500 deals.
Hermes, CIB and EFG Hermes Feature in the Rankings
Hermes Securities Brokerage came fourth, recording EGP 4.53 billion in trading value, or 6.5% of the total. The company traded 1.12 billion shares through 62,750 transactions.
CIB Securities Brokerage ranked fifth, with EGP 3.47 billion in trades and a 5% market share. Its activity included 1.03 billion shares exchanged through 53,800 transactions.
EFG Hermes International Securities Brokerage placed sixth, recording EGP 3.33 billion in trading value, representing 4.8% of total activity. The firm traded 209.68 million shares through 47,030 transactions.
Four More Firms Complete the Top 10
Ostoul Securities Trading and Bond Brokerage ranked seventh, with EGP 3.28 billion in trading value and a 4.7% share of the market. Its trading volume reached 1.07 billion shares through 69,560 transactions.
Arqaam Securities Trading took eighth place, recording EGP 3.08 billion in trades, equivalent to 4.4% of total activity. The firm traded 366.1 million shares through 96,000 transactions.
Cairo Capital Securities ranked ninth, with EGP 3.05 billion in trading value and a 4.4% market share. Its activity covered 567.65 million shares through 41,150 transactions.
Beltone Securities Trading completed the top 10, posting EGP 2.99 billion in trading value, or 4.3% of the total. The company traded 535.54 million shares through 40,130 transactions.
