President El-Sisi Issues Decree Joining ”Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development” to the National Alliance for Civil Development Work
A New Milestone in Strengthening Sustainable Development
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a presidential decree granting membership of the "National Alliance for Civil Development Work" to the "Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development." This strategic step aims to enhance integration between state institutions, the private sector, and civil society, highlighting the foundation’s role as an active development partner.
Cumulative Expertise and Investments Exceeding EGP 820 Million
This decision crowns a 23-year journey during which the foundation—since its inception in 2003—has built deep institutional expertise in designing and implementing technology-driven development initiatives. With investments reaching nearly EGP 820 million, its programs have focused on capacity building and offering sustainable opportunities in education, healthcare, and economic empowerment through extensive partnerships with ministries, universities, and international corporations.
Connected Education: Digital Transformation Serving Millions
In the education sector, the foundation left a broad digital footprint by equipping 460 schools with modern labs in underserved areas and training 640,000 students through the "Education is Life" initiative in collaboration with "Decent Life" (Hayah Karima). Additionally, the free "Ta3leemy" platform reached over 2.5 million beneficiaries by offering content in AI and entrepreneurship, while 13,000 students and teachers in Ismailia benefited from the "Josoor" initiative to enhance teaching skills.
Connected Health: Medical Services and Major Healthcare Partnerships
The foundation continues its healthcare efforts through the "Convoys of Light" campaign in partnership with the Ibrahim A. Badran Foundation and NSA Labs, covering all 27 governorates to deliver 27,000 medical checkups, surgeries, and treatments. Furthermore, the foundation contributed over EGP 50 million to support major medical institutions, including 57357 Hospital, the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, Al Nas Hospital, and the Baheya Foundation for breast cancer early detection and treatment.
