ITIDA Announces Winners of DevOps Hackathon 2026 with EGP 590,000 in Prizes
The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has announced the winners of DevOps Hackathon 2026, with six teams sharing a total of EGP 590,000 in prize money during the ninth edition of DevOpsDays Cairo.
Held under the theme “Automate, Accelerate, and Innovate with DevOps and AI,” the hackathon attracted 142 teams, with 20 teams reaching the final stage. The finalists included 10 university student teams and 10 teams made up of graduates and professionals.
Participants were challenged to develop end-to-end solutions capable of automating development and operations processes, reducing software development cycles, and supporting decision-making through DevOps and AI technologies.
A 12-member judging panel, comprising six Egyptian and six international experts, evaluated the projects based on innovation and creativity, alignment with the hackathon’s objectives, practicality and potential impact, technical implementation, usability and user experience, as well as the quality of presentations and live demonstrations.
In the university student category, Team
a secured first place and received EGP 90,000 for developing an intelligent assistant designed to diagnose system problems and identify their root causes.
Team Ne3Na3 (Mint) took second place and won EGP 70,000 for an AI-powered solution that synchronizes code, documentation, and system diagrams as changes occur.
Team Fo2 El-Sa7ab (Above the Clouds) came third, receiving EGP 50,000 for creating a secure environment where AI tools can be tested before deployment, helping identify risks and reduce potential errors.
In the graduates and professionals category, Team MarsadOps (Ops Observatory) won first place and EGP 160,000 for developing a system that monitors the cost and operational efficiency of AI tools used by companies in real time.
Team DevOps Titans secured second place and EGP 120,000 with a solution that automates project setup and deployment while identifying security vulnerabilities before software releases.
Team SYNAI took third place and received EGP 100,000 for developing a wearable device connected to an AI-powered system that can issue early alerts when it detects changes that could indicate a health or safety concern for a child.
The hackathon highlighted the capabilities of Egyptian developers in creating practical technology solutions designed to address real-world challenges across software development, operations, and business processes.
DevOpsDays Cairo was held on September 26 at Creativa Innovation Hub in Giza. The event was organized by ITIDA’s Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC) under the theme “Sustaining Development and Operations Practices in the Age of Agentic AI.”
The event brought together experts, researchers, and specialists in software development, operations, engineering, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing to exchange knowledge and practical experience and explore emerging technology trends.
