Tamweely Sponsors Cerise+SPTF 2026 Global Meeting in Cairo as Gold Sponsor, Becoming Egypt’s First Financial Services Company to Achieve Gold-Level Client Protection Certification

Tamweely Financial Services is participating as a Gold Sponsor of the Cerise+SPTF 2026 Global Meeting, hosted by Cairo from September 28 to October 1, 2026, bringing together leading financial institutions, investors, policymakers, experts, and professionals from around the world working across the financial services, social and environmental performance, and responsible finance sectors.

The Global Meeting is being held in collaboration with the Egyptian Federation for Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises Financing, under the theme “Finance to Empower & Protect,” reflecting the global shift toward developing financial systems that go beyond expanding access to financial services to place client empowerment, protection, and resilience at the heart of financial practices.

Tamweely’s participation takes on particular significance this year as the company has recently achieved Gold-Level Client Protection Certification, making it the first financial services company in Egypt to attain this level of certification. Gold is the highest level under the Cerise+SPTF certification framework, which classifies certification across three levels: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Achieving the Gold level reflects the successful assessment of Tamweely’s client protection policies and practices against Cerise+SPTF’s international standards.

This achievement builds on Tamweely’s vision of developing a financial institution that brings together responsible growth, sound governance, innovation, service quality, and client protection, supported by a range of international standards and certifications. These include ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 27001 for information security, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, ISO 14001 for environmental management, as well as AML 30000 for anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, and MSI 20000 for financial sustainability and governance.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Ahmed Khorched, Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, and Vice Chairman, Tamweely Financial Services, said that hosting the Cerise+SPTF Global Meeting in Egypt for the first time represents an important milestone for the financial services industry and underscores Egypt’s growing presence on the global responsible finance map. He added that the event provides an important platform for exchanging expertise and strengthening partnerships among financial institutions, policymakers, investors, and experts from different markets.

He noted that Tamweely’s participation as a Gold Sponsor reflects the company’s commitment to playing an active role in the global dialogue on the future of the financial services industry, particularly in the areas of client protection, responsible digital finance, governance, sustainability, and client empowerment. He also highlighted the importance of exchanging international expertise and best practices to support the continued development of the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) finance sector in Egypt and across the region.

Mr. Khorched explained that Tamweely’s achievement of Gold-Level Client Protection Certification represents the culmination of a vision and strategy that the company adopted at an early stage, placing client protection at the core of its priorities. This approach is rooted in the company’s belief that sustainable growth cannot be separated from building trust and maintaining a strong sense of responsibility toward clients.

He further emphasized that Tamweely has never viewed client protection merely as a regulatory requirement, but rather as an integral part of the way it conducts its business and develops its services. He noted that this approach has positioned the company among the early adopters of advanced client protection practices, ultimately leading to its achievement of the Gold level of certification.

The Cerise+SPTF 2026 Global Meeting features specialized training sessions and workshops, in addition to the main conference taking place on September 29 and 30. The conference will address three key themes: client protection, client empowerment, and strengthening clients’ resilience in the face of crises and financial risks. The event will conclude on October 1 with field visits to a number of financial service providers in Egypt.

Tamweely Financial Services’ participation in this international gathering reflects its continued commitment to building a financial institution that combines growth, innovation, governance, client protection, and sustainability. It also reinforces the company’s role in supporting the MSME finance sector and contributing to the development of a more inclusive and responsible financial ecosystem, where client empowerment and protection are integral to achieving sustainable growth.
