Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture Meets Turkish Business Delegation to Explore Strategic Investments in Agri and Poultry Sectors
In alignment with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to bolster economic cooperation, expand joint investments, and empower the private sector, Mr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, held an extensive meeting with a large delegation of prominent Turkish businessmen and investors.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of an official visit by a high-ranking Turkish delegation, headed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, to Cairo. The session was also attended by key Egyptian industry leaders, including the Head of the General Union of Poultry Producers, heads of specialized agricultural divisions, and the Chairman of the Agricultural Export Council, to discuss comprehensive cooperation and promising partnership opportunities.
Fostering a Competitive Investment Climate
During the meeting, Minister Farouk emphasized the Egyptian state's unwavering commitment to creating an attractive investment climate and removing all obstacles facing local and foreign capital. He highlighted that Egypt's agricultural and poultry production sectors possess substantial competitive advantages and lucrative investment opportunities that directly support sustainable development plans and enhance national food security.

Concluding the talks, both sides agreed to organize a comprehensive field visit for Turkish businessmen and investors in the near future. The itinerary will include inspection tours of Egypt's modern poultry farms, state-of-the-art slaughterhouses, and major agricultural and plant production mega-projects, allowing the delegation to witness the technological advancements and on-ground investment opportunities firsthand.
