Egypt to Participate in Inclusive Africa Conference 2026 in Nairobi; Events to Stream from Knowledge City
Egypt, represented by the National Academy of Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities (NAID), in cooperation with the Engineers for Sustainable Egypt Foundation and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD), is set to participate in the 7th edition of the Inclusive Africa Conference 2026. The event will take place from June 2 to 4 in Nairobi, Kenya, with its proceedings being broadcast live from NAID's headquarters at Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital.
Continental Platform for Digital Inclusion The Inclusive Africa Conference is the largest event dedicated to the fields of disability and digital inclusion on the African continent. It provides a regional platform to support practical, African-led solutions that ensure people with disabilities are not marginalized in an AI-driven digital future, while exploring ways to scale up accessibility tools, universal design, and assistive technologies.
This year's edition focuses on accelerating digital accessibility and AI solutions for the future of the African continent. The agenda will highlight employment, education, innovation, and financial services as key sectors that can enhance the participation of persons with disabilities in the digital economy.
Agenda and Anticipated Attendance The conference agenda includes keynote speeches delivered by global leaders in the accessibility field, open panel discussions on digital inclusion, policy, and innovation, as well as practical workshops, training sessions, and an exhibition showcasing the latest assistive technologies and accessibility solutions.
Over 300 in-person delegates are expected to attend, alongside more than 2,000 remote participants from 20 African nations. The attendee list comprises disability and accessibility experts, policymakers, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, as well as government and private sector representatives.
First convened in 2020, the Inclusive Africa Conference aims to translate policy commitments and innovations into a tangible impact for persons with disabilities across the continent by developing more inclusive products and services that offer equal opportunities for all. Since its launch, the forum has worked to strengthen cross-sector partnerships among governments, the private sector, civil society, and academia, supporting African pathways toward inclusive, accessible, and ethical technology.
