New cities authorities are carrying out large-scale campaigns to remove encroachments and building violations and reclaim illegally occupied lands.

In line with the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, to continue decisively addressing all forms of encroachment and building violations, and to preserve the civilized appearance of new cities, several city authorities have implemented extensive campaigns to remove encroachments and reclaim illegally occupied land, in coordination with relevant agencies, while taking immediate legal action against violators.

In this context, the Shorouk City Development Authority explained that a large-scale campaign was carried out to implement land withdrawal orders and reclaim illegally occupied land, in coordination with relevant agencies. The campaign resulted in the execution of seven land withdrawal orders for plots totaling approximately 126,000 square meters, along with the complete removal of fences and encroachments erected on them.

In Badr City, the city's development department launched a campaign targeting a violation in the first neighborhood of the sixth district. This followed the detection of a violation involving the use of a basement for an activity that contravened the approved regulations and standards. The campaign resulted in the closure and sealing of the illegal basement, and the immediate initiation of all necessary legal procedures regarding the incident.

 In 6th of October City, a campaign was carried out that resulted in the immediate removal of several building violations and encroachments. This included halting construction work on rear setbacks, removing walls and columns of these setbacks, as well as removing wooden scaffolding and walls of illegally constructed floors. Additionally, rear setback columns were removed from several plots in the Seventh, Fourth, and Gardenia (A) and (B) districts, and Sector (W) of the Fifth district.

The Sadat City Development Authority continued its extensive campaigns to remove violations and encroachments. In coordination with relevant authorities, the Authority conducted a removal campaign targeting encroachments within the residential areas of the "Build Your Home" and "Challenge" districts in the Green Belt. The campaign resulted in the execution of demolition orders for encroachments that included buildings, walls, and roofs erected without permits in the "Build Your Home" district. Furthermore, a decision was implemented to reclaim and reclaim plot number (6) in the "Challenge" district of the Green Belt, covering an area of ​​40 feddans.

 In New Minya City, the city's development authority continued its campaigns, conducting a large-scale operation to remove unlicensed construction in several areas and neighborhoods. The campaign resulted in the immediate removal of an illegal addition: the construction of a fourth floor without a permit on a plot in the third block of the second district. The entire roof of the illegal floor was demolished to prevent further construction and to decisively address any attempts at haphazard building or violations of approved building regulations.

City officials emphasized the continuation of these campaigns on a regular and surprise basis to prevent violations of building regulations and to ensure that no encroachments or violations that could harm the urban landscape and aesthetic appeal of the new cities do not occur. They stressed that removing violations at their inception is a priority for preserving urban planning and achieving a safe and organized environment for citizens.
