Dr. Ahmed Saqr: Generation Z accounts for approximately 55% of transactions on the “Farida” platform since its launch and is leading the shift towards digital real estate investment.

Dr. Ahmed Saqr, CEO of the “Farida Real Estate Technology” platform, confirmed that Generation Z has become the most influential demographic on the platform since its launch, accounting for nearly 55% of all transactions. This clearly indicates the accelerating shift towards digital real estate investment among younger generations.

Saqr explained that the platform's operational data over the past period reflects a fundamental change in its user structure. Millennials (Gen Z) and those under 30 years old constitute the largest percentage of active users, with an average usage growth rate approaching 70% compared to other age groups. This reflects a growing reliance on technological solutions for investment decisions.

Saqr pointed out that this shift is not limited to transaction volume but extends to the nature of investment behavior. This generation relies more heavily on real-time data, digital analytics, and easy access to information, with a clear preference for platforms that offer a flexible, fast, and transparent user experience.

Saqr added that the “Farida” platform also observed that nearly 60% of initial investment decisions are made through direct digital interaction within the platform without traditional, in-person intervention. This confirms that technology has become a dominant factor in shaping real estate purchasing and investment decisions.

Saqr emphasized that this shift reflects a reshaping of the real estate demand structure in the market. Investment decisions are no longer solely linked to traditional factors such as location and price, but are now primarily tied to the quality of the digital experience and the ease of accessing and analyzing data.

Saqr further explained that the real estate sector is undergoing a significant transition towards the “complete digitization of investor behavior.” This is driving real estate technology platforms to develop smarter tools that rely on artificial intelligence and data analytics to support decision-making.

Saqr concluded by affirming that the continued dominance of Generation Z in the digital investment landscape is a clear indicator of the sector's future. It is expected that this generation's reliance on digital platforms will exceed 65% within the next two years, coinciding with the expansion of PropTech tools in the market.
