Nokia Leverages AI to Drive Autonomous Fixed Networks and Enhance Field Productivity
Nokia has unveiled its latest AI-driven capabilities for fixed networks, aimed at automating complex operational tasks and reducing customer churn. By integrating advanced AI into platforms such as Altiplano, Corteca, and Broadband Easy, Nokia enables service providers to proactively diagnose and resolve network issues before they impact the end-user. Sandy Motley, President of Fixed Networks at Nokia, highlighted that these innovations are designed to empower field technicians and support teams with real-time insights, significantly accelerating home connection processes and boosting overall engineering productivity.
Nokia’s approach emphasizes an open and secure framework, allowing operators to integrate various AI models and Large Language Models (LLMs) while maintaining full data sovereignty. This strategy ensures that network management remains agile yet secure. According to industry experts, the transition toward these "self-healing" networks depends heavily on data quality and infrastructure readiness—areas where Nokia is currently leading to redefine the standards of intelligent, autonomous connectivity in 2026.
