Egypt’s ICT Minister Eng. Raafat Hindy and Huawei Global Executives Discuss Expansion in Cloud Computing and Advanced Tech
Eng. Raafat Hindy, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, held a strategic meeting today with Mr. Yang Chaobin, CEO of Huawei’s Global ICT Business Group, and Mr. Benjamin Hou, CEO of Huawei Egypt. The discussions centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation in advanced communications, cloud computing, and digital transformation projects. Minister Hindy underscored the pivotal role of the ICT sector in driving Egypt's national development, noting that Huawei remains a key partner in integrating cutting-edge technologies into the local market.
During the meeting, both parties explored opportunities for joint digital solution projects aimed at accelerating Egypt’s transition toward cloud-based infrastructure. Mr. Yang Chaobin reiterated Huawei’s commitment to bringing its latest global innovations to Egypt, expressing a strong desire to open new horizons for collaboration that support the nation's digital sovereignty and technological self-reliance in 2026 and beyond.
