Emirates Unveils Special UAE Flag Livery on Iconic Airbus A380

Emirates has unveiled a striking new aircraft livery featuring the UAE national flag across the fuselage of its iconic Airbus A380, in a symbolic tribute to national pride and unity.

The special design, introduced as part of the airline’s campaign “Our Flag Remains High in the Sky,” was revealed on aircraft registration A6-EVG. The initiative comes in response to the national call launched by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum encouraging citizens and residents to raise the UAE flag as a symbol of unity, resilience, and national identity amid recent regional challenges.

The new livery extends Emirates’ signature tail design, transforming the UAE flag into a bold three-dimensional visual stretching across both sides of the aircraft. The design reflects the airline’s long-standing association with the UAE national identity and its role as a global ambassador for the country.Commenting on the initiative, Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, said the UAE flag has always been at the heart of Emirates’ identity since the airline’s founding, accompanying its flights across the world and reflecting the values of belonging and national pride.

He added that the special livery reinforces the airline’s pride in representing a nation that has become a global model for ambition, innovation, and progress, stressing that Emirates aircraft will continue carrying the UAE’s identity proudly across international skies.

The specially painted A380 has already operated flights to New York and Brisbane and is expected to serve additional destinations within Emirates’ A380 network, making the UAE flag visible across airports and cities worldwide.

Emirates also confirmed that work is underway to apply the same livery concept to one of its Boeing 777 aircraft, further expanding the campaign across its fleet.

The airline has a history of launching commemorative liveries tied to major national events. Previous initiatives included special aircraft designs honoring Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan during the “Year of Zayed” in 2017, as well as liveries promoting Expo 2020 Dubai.
