Jumia Reports $50.6 Million in Revenue as Losses Narrow in First Quarter of 2026
Jumia reported revenues of $50.6 million during the first quarter of 2026, while continuing to reduce losses and improve operational efficiency amid ongoing expansion efforts across its African markets.
According to the company’s latest financial results, Jumia succeeded in narrowing its operating losses compared to the same period last year, reflecting continued progress in its strategy focused on cost optimization, logistics efficiency, and higher operational discipline.
The company also recorded improvements in gross profit and order profitability, supported by stronger performance in logistics services, higher marketplace efficiency, and increasing contribution from value-added services.
Jumia stated that the results reflect growing momentum in its core markets, particularly as e-commerce adoption continues to rise across Africa. The company has been focusing on expanding customer reach, enhancing delivery operations, and improving user experience through investments in technology and logistics infrastructure.
The group emphasized that Egypt remains one of its most strategic and fastest-growing markets, supported by increasing digital adoption and growing consumer demand for online shopping solutions.
During the quarter, Jumia continued strengthening its logistics and fulfillment network, while expanding partnerships with brands, merchants, and financial service providers to improve accessibility and customer engagement.
The company also highlighted the growing role of JumiaPay and digital payment solutions in supporting transaction growth and improving operational efficiency across the platform.
