MCIT Opens Applications for Digital Egypt Cubs Initiative Summer Program 2026
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has announced the opening of applications for the 2026 Summer Program of the Digital Egypt Cubs Initiative (DECI), as part of ongoing efforts to build digital skills among school students and prepare a new generation for the future technology landscape.
The program targets students enrolled in Egyptian schools nationwide, ranging from the first year of preparatory school to the second year of secondary school during the 2025–2026 academic year, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
Designed to enhance digital capabilities and foster innovation among young learners, the program runs for two to three months and combines interactive learning methods with practical application. Training is delivered primarily in English, with Arabic used to support explanations and facilitate understanding.
The summer program includes a blended learning model featuring in-person sessions at training centers, online classes, hands-on activities, and project-based assessments aimed at strengthening students’ technical and problem-solving skills.
MCIT clarified that registration is currently open exclusively for new applicants. Students already enrolled in the fourth cohort of DECI, as well as students who completed Grade 6 during the 2025–2026 academic year, are not eligible to apply at this stage. Those students are instead encouraged to apply for the summer program offered through the Digital Egypt Marvels Initiative.
According to the ministry, applications will remain open for two weeks or until the program reaches full capacity, reflecting the growing demand for advanced digital education opportunities among Egyptian students.
The Digital Egypt Cubs Initiative is part of Egypt’s broader national strategy to invest in digital talent development and equip younger generations with the skills needed to participate in the rapidly evolving digital economy.
