Beyond the Trend: CIB’s Yousry Salah Outlines the ”Golden Triangle” of Digital Banking Success
At the Egypt Career Summit hosted by the British University in Egypt (BUE), Yousry Salah, Head of Retail Products and Digital Channels at CIB, redefined digital transformation as a fundamental shift in delivering value rather than a mere technical trend. Salah introduced a strategic framework for digital excellence, identifying Simplicity, Speed, and Security as the three non-negotiable pillars of any successful digital banking experience.
Salah emphasized CIB's "Customer-First" culture, famously illustrated by the "Empty Chair" concept in meetings—a symbolic seat representing the voice of the customer in every decision. He cautioned against what he termed "Misleading User Experiences," where digital interfaces appear advanced but force customers back to physical branches to resolve issues. To avoid this, CIB leverages advanced data analytics for its 2.5 million clients, segmenting services to ensure that digital transitions are seamless, intuitive, and provide genuine autonomy for the user.
