Egypt University of Informatics Trains 1,500 Youth Under Digital Egypt Pioneers Initiative
The Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) has successfully trained nearly 1,500 young men and women as part of its ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, within the framework of national and presidential initiatives—most notably the Digital Egypt Pioneers Initiative (DEPI).
The initiative, launched by the ministry, aims to equip youth with the skills needed to work in the ICT sector by providing training in cutting-edge global technologies aligned with labor market demands. Key specializations include data analysis, software development, and digital creative marketing and digital arts.
Prof. Ahmed Hamed, Acting President of EUI, emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting national initiatives, noting that DEPI aligns with its mission to prepare a new generation of experts in communications, computer science, and Fourth Industrial Revolution disciplines.
Through its Continuing Education Unit, the university has delivered specialized training programs covering advanced technologies such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, web design, user interface (UI) design, mobile applications, and DevOps engineering. These efforts aim to enhance youth employability both locally and regionally.
Dr. Eman Ashour, Advisor for Education and Training to the University President, highlighted that the initiative also focuses on developing advanced technological skills among students and graduates, particularly in software development, data science, business analysis, and digital arts. She noted that the initiative provides a supportive environment for launching freelance careers while preparing participants for high-quality job opportunities in the ICT sector.
She added that the data analysis track equips trainees with essential skills to support data-driven decision-making across various industries. Meanwhile, the software development program focuses on building high-quality applications using modern tools and technologies, including Angular, React, mobile app development, software testing, and DevOps practices.
The digital creative marketing and digital arts track is designed to meet the growing demand for professionals who combine technical and creative skills, enabling participants to pursue careers in digital marketing, web design, application development, and advertising.
