Jumia and Mogo Sign Strategic Partnership to Expand Digital Installment Solutions in Egypt

Jumia, Africa’s leading e-commerce platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Mogo, a provider of digital consumer finance solutions, aimed at expanding digital installment offerings and delivering more flexible payment options to online shoppers in the Egyptian market.

The partnership reflects both companies’ commitment to supporting the ongoing digital transformation of the payments landscape by introducing innovative financial solutions that simplify the online shopping experience and enhance customers’ purchasing power. This comes in response to rapidly evolving consumer behavior and the growing reliance on digital channels for retail transactions.

Under the agreement, Jumia will integrate Mogo’s financing solutions directly into its e-commerce platform, enabling customers to access clear and transparent installment plans through a seamless and secure user experience, free from complexity or hidden costs. The collaboration also seeks to accelerate the adoption of modern digital payment solutions and promote financial inclusion across a broader segment of users nationwide.

In conjunction with the partnership, the two companies announced the launch of their first joint campaign under the “Triple Zero” model, offering customers installment plans with zero down payment, zero interest, and zero administrative fees. The campaign will run for a limited period of one week, from February 9 to February 15, exclusively on Jumia’s platform, with repayment periods of up to 12 months. The initiative is designed to encourage customers to explore and benefit from digital installment solutions.

Commenting on the partnership, Abdellatif Olama, CEO of Jumia Egypt, said: “This collaboration aligns with Jumia’s strategy to expand digital payment solutions and enhance the range of installment options available to our customers. Through our partnership with Mogo, we aim to deliver a more flexible and transparent shopping experience that meets evolving market needs and strengthens consumer trust in e-commerce.”

Mahmoud El-Ghwas, CEO of Mogo, added: “Our partnership with Jumia marks a significant step toward broadening access to digital installment solutions and delivering a seamless, transparent customer experience. It reflects our vision of making money accessible at all times and enabling faster, simpler financial decision-making. We look forward to building a sustainable collaboration that supports the growth of e-commerce in Egypt and expands access to innovative financing solutions for a wider customer base.”

Both companies emphasized that the agreement lays the foundation for a long-term strategic collaboration that goes beyond promotional campaigns to include the development of further joint initiatives and solutions. This is expected to contribute to the advancement of the digital payments ecosystem, support the growth of the e-commerce sector, and strengthen Egypt’s position as a promising fintech market in the region.

The partnership underscores the shared vision of Jumia and Mogo to build an integrated digital ecosystem centered on customer needs, while supporting the future of e-commerce and digital financial services in Egypt.
