Egypt’s Future of Egypt Agency Drives National Economy Through Integrated Development Projects

The Future of Egypt Sustainable Development Agency continues to cement its role as a key driver of Egypt’s national economy by implementing an integrated system of productive and investment projects across vital sectors, including agriculture, food manufacturing, livestock, logistics, real estate development, energy, digital transformation, tourism, infrastructure, and transportation. These efforts aim to build a sustainable, production-oriented economy and maximize the value of national resources.

Established in 2022 under Presidential Decree No. 591, the agency builds on development plans dating back to 2017. Its strategic model, known as the “Development Orbit,” connects all stages of production—from land reclamation and agriculture to food processing, storage, logistics, marketing, and export—reducing losses and enhancing supply chain efficiency.

Agriculture represents a cornerstone of the agency’s strategy, targeting the reclamation of 4.5 million feddans under Egypt Vision 2030. Key projects include the New Delta project spanning 2.2 million feddans with the world’s largest water transport system, alongside initiatives in Al-Dakhla, Al-Oweinat, Sinai, Upper Egypt, and West Delta. Complementing this, the agency operates industrial cities with an annual food processing capacity of 3.4 million tons of raw materials, converted into 1.7 million tons of finished food products, boosting export potential.

The agency also develops agricultural commodity trading and storage infrastructure, including the Sphinx Crop Trading Center (500 feddans, 20 million tons annual throughput) and advanced cold storage and grain silos with a capacity of 500,000 tons. Livestock, poultry, and fishery sectors are similarly supported to increase animal protein production, while urban development projects like Garian in the New Delta enhance residential and commercial growth.

Tourism is another priority sector, with plans to develop Nile and maritime islands into integrated destinations combining recreation, eco-tourism, and investment, in partnership with the private sector. Infrastructure initiatives include modern road networks, power generation and transmission plants, and water treatment and desalination facilities to support agriculture, industry, and urban projects.

The agency operates through subsidiaries such as Nations of Sky (urban development), Digital Smart Tree (DST) (technology and digital transformation), Masanda (operations and security services), Egypt Commodity Exchange, and Madin (urban facility management). Private sector and investment funds are encouraged to participate in strategic sectors, with potential future listings on the stock exchange.

This campaign highlights the agency’s integrated development model during Ramadan, showcasing its projects’ contribution to Egypt’s economic growth and sustainable development.
