Lenovo Unveils Adaptive AI Devices and Futuristic Concepts at MWC 2026
Lenovo showcased a new generation of adaptive AI-powered devices and futuristic computing concepts during the Mobile World Congress 2026, targeting business professionals, creators, students, and gaming enthusiasts.
The presentation highlighted several innovations, including a modular AI-powered personal computer architecture, a glasses-free 3D laptop concept, and a foldable handheld gaming PC, alongside the initial introduction of the Lenovo Qira AI agent. These developments reflect a broader shift in personal computing toward systems that intelligently adapt to users’ needs and environments.
Lenovo emphasized its focus on delivering more personalized, proactive, and secure technologies while building a unified AI ecosystem designed to operate seamlessly across multiple devices.
According to Luca Rossi, President of the Intelligent Devices Group at Lenovo, the AI era will not be defined by a single device or application, but by intelligent systems working seamlessly across all technologies people use.
Lenovo Qira: A Customizable Ambient AI Agent
The newly introduced Lenovo Qira is a customizable ambient AI agent embedded across Lenovo and Motorola devices rather than a standalone application.
The system works across PCs, tablets, smartphones, and supported wearable devices, helping users seamlessly transition between tasks and devices while delivering contextual assistance based on individual needs.
In the coming weeks, Lenovo plans to deploy Qira across more than 20 Lenovo PC models, including devices from the Yoga, IdeaPad, Legion, and ThinkPad series, through a mix of software updates and pre-installed experiences.
The AI agent will debut with support for six languages across nine regions, including English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Portuguese. Lenovo also plans to expand support to additional languages and devices throughout 2026, including its first rollout on Motorola smartphones.
Modular ThinkBook Concept
Lenovo also introduced a modular ThinkBook concept PC, built around a compact 14-inch base system designed to support interchangeable displays, detachable input components, and modular input/output elements.
The system allows users to attach secondary displays in multiple configurations or replace keyboard modules, expanding the workspace to nearly 19 inches while maintaining portability.
Glasses-Free 3D Yoga Book Concept
Another concept showcased was a glasses-free 3D laptop, designed to help creators visualize and control depth directly on the display.
The system combines dual-screen technology with AI-driven 2D-to-3D conversion, gesture interaction, and intuitive creative controls, demonstrating Lenovo’s exploration of spatial computing experiences.
Legion Go Fold Gaming Concept
Lenovo also unveiled the Legion Go Fold concept, a foldable handheld gaming PC that transforms from a compact portable device into a larger display supporting multiple usage modes.
The device enables portable gaming, split-screen multitasking, expanded display gaming, and desktop-style interaction, illustrating how flexible display technology can deliver hybrid productivity and gaming experiences.
AI-Enhanced Business Devices
Lenovo also introduced updates to its ThinkPad T-Series, focusing on improved serviceability, usability, and readiness for AI-driven workflows. Some models achieved top rankings in iFixit repairability tests, reinforcing Lenovo’s commitment to product lifecycle value and sustainable device management.
The company also highlighted the ThinkPad X13 detachable, designed for hybrid work environments, and the rugged ThinkTab X11 Android tablet, built for industrial and field operations.
Consumer and Gaming Devices
For creators, students, and everyday users, Lenovo presented the Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition, featuring a convertible design, OLED display, and AI-powered productivity tools.
Additional devices include the Yoga Pro 7a and IdeaPad Slim 5i Ultra laptops, as well as the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2, Lenovo’s first tablet equipped with the Lenovo Qira AI agent.
In gaming, Lenovo expanded its lineup with the Legion 7a gaming laptop and the Legion Tab, a high-performance gaming tablet with a 3K display and advanced cooling system.
