The National Postal Authority (Egypt Post) and the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA) have signed a cooperation protocol to provide a number of the authority’s services through post offices across Egypt, aiming to simplify procedures and save time and effort for citizens and business owners seeking access to official services.
Under the agreement, customers will be able to obtain commercial registry extracts through Egypt Post’s nationwide network of post offices, ensuring the delivery of services according to the highest standards of quality and security. The initiative leverages Egypt Post’s extensive infrastructure and its wide geographic coverage.
The protocol was signed by Dalia El-Baz, Chairperson of Egypt Post, and Dr. Mohamed Awad, Chairman of the Internal Trade Development Authority, in the presence of senior officials from both entities.
Through this partnership, citizens will be able to access commercial registry extracts at nearby post offices, enabling faster and more convenient transactions with a high degree of accuracy and security.
The collaboration also includes additional services such as inquiring about company data, identifying the Unified Commercial Registration (UCR) number, and paying commercial registration renewal fees through post offices.
The protocol also covers the printing and supply of secure documents through Egypt Post’s printing facilities, using advanced security printing technologies that meet the highest quality and safety standards. These documents will be distributed to commercial registry offices affiliated with the Internal Trade Development Authority across various governorates.
Commenting on the agreement, Dalia El-Baz, Chairperson of Egypt Post, stated that the cooperation aligns with the organization’s strategy to expand the delivery of integrated government services through its nationwide network of post offices, facilitating faster and more efficient access to services for citizens and businesses.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Awad, Chairman of the Internal Trade Development Authority, noted that the agreement represents an important step in the government’s efforts to modernize the authority’s service system and make it more accessible to citizens and investors.
He added that the protocol also includes the use of secure versions of commercial registry extracts, printed on specially designed security paper equipped with advanced protection features to prevent tampering or forgery and enhance trust in official commercial registry documents issued by the authority.
