Central Bank of Egypt Launches “Future Scholars” Scholarship to Support Outstanding Students

The Central Bank of Egypt, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has launched the national initiative “Future Scholars Scholarship” to support high-achieving students at Egyptian universities. The program aims to ensure equitable access to higher education in nationally prioritized fields and enable academically outstanding students to complete their university studies under principles of fairness and equal opportunity.

The scholarship covers a wide network of national (non-profit) universities, including Nile University, French University in Egypt, Egyptian E-Learning University, Egypt University of Informatics, Galala University, Alamein International University, King Salman International University, New Mansoura University, Ismailia National University, Assiut National University, Ain Shams National University, and Alexandria National University, among others across various governorates.

Eligibility Criteria:

Egyptian nationality.

Academic excellence in Thanaweya Amma, meeting the minimum admission requirements for the chosen faculty.

Graduation from a public high school or STEM school.

Beneficiary of the Takaful and Karama program or exempted from school tuition by the Ministry of Education based on a social assessment.

Good conduct with no academic or disciplinary dismissal.

Not receiving another funded scholarship simultaneously.

Submission of all required documents and signing the official declaration by the student and guardian.

Scholarship Benefits:

Full coverage of tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses at participating national universities until graduation, subject to maintaining eligibility.

Full scholarships in priority fields including Medicine, Engineering, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Applied Arts, Arts and Design, Agriculture, Tourism and Hotels, and Archaeology.

Geographic distribution across all governorates.

Fair representation of female students.

Allocated percentage for students with disabilities.

Additional allocation for Upper Egypt and border governorates.

Application Process:

Applications will be submitted through the official website: https://futurescholares.mohesr.gov.eg
Incomplete or inaccurate applications will be excluded. Students may apply within their home governorate or the nearest governorate if the desired faculty is unavailable locally. The selection committee may conduct in-person or virtual interviews. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and social eligibility.

Continuation Requirements:

The scholarship will be revoked and repayment required if:

The student fails to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) starting from the second year.

The student transfers to another faculty during the scholarship period.

The student withdraws without valid justification.

The student is subject to disciplinary action or legal conviction.

False information or documentation is provided.
