Google Subscriptions Surge in Q4 as YouTube Drives Strong Revenue Growth

Google recorded strong growth in its subscription business during the fourth quarter, driven by the accelerating performance of YouTube, which continued to expand its advertising revenues and paid subscription base, solidifying its position as one of the group’s primary growth engines.

According to company data, the total number of paid subscribers across Google One and YouTube Premium rose to approximately 325 million users, up from around 300 million in the previous quarter, reflecting a notable acceleration in paid subscription adoption.

YouTube’s advertising revenue increased by 9% year-on-year in the fourth quarter, reaching $11.38 billion. Meanwhile, the platform’s total annual revenue, including both advertising and subscriptions, approached $60 billion, representing an annual growth rate of approximately 17%.

Google confirmed that YouTube Premium, its ad-free subscription priced at around $8 per month, continues to see growing demand. The company emphasized that paid subscriptions are becoming a core pillar of its revenue model, alongside traditional advertising.
