New Partnership to Connect Egyptian Industry with Local Tech Solutions and Startups

In a step aimed at strengthening Egypt’s entrepreneurship and digital transformation ecosystem, the Entrepreneurship and SMEs Committee of the Egyptian Lebanese Business Association held a high-level meeting with the Information Technology Industry Chamber to explore avenues for strategic collaboration.

Engineer Amr Fotouh, Chairman of the committee, revealed that discussions with the Information Technology and Communications Industry Chamber under the Federation of Egyptian Industries concluded with plans to sign a formal cooperation protocol. The agreement will focus on supporting digital transformation initiatives, advancing the local technology industry, and empowering startups.

According to Fotouh, the protocol is designed to bridge the gap between the industrial sector and Egyptian technology companies, capitalizing on the rapid development of local capabilities in software development, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence to drive industrial competitiveness.

As part of the collaboration, the two entities will coordinate the organization of exhibitions inside industrial zones to introduce manufacturers to Egyptian IT companies and demonstrate practical digital solutions tailored for industrial applications.

The partnership will also include joint participation in the “Digital Nation” conference to promote digital transformation awareness, while enabling association members to access the chamber’s SME development programs and startup incubators.

Furthermore, selected startup companies will be granted opportunities to participate in the first edition of the “Youth of Industry and SMEs Conference,” scheduled to be launched in the near future.

The agreement also предусматривает offering exclusive discounts to association members on software solutions, IT services, and digital technologies through chamber-affiliated companies.
