AUSTRIACARD Secures SAMA Certification for Mada Debit Card Chip Profile
AUSTRIACARD HOLDINGS AG announced that it has successfully obtained certification for its debit card chip profile (CV071) from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), under the Kingdom’s national debit card scheme, Mada, marking a significant strategic milestone in the company’s regional expansion.
The certification reflects AUSTRIACARD’s commitment to meeting the highest international standards in payment card technology, following a rigorous approval process conducted by SAMA. The achievement confirms the company’s technical expertise and the quality of its chip-based payment solutions.
Mohamad Shamloul, Group Chief Technology Officer, stated that obtaining the certification is clear evidence of the dedication and excellence of the company’s teams. He noted that this milestone enables AUSTRIACARD to collaborate more closely with banks and financial institutions in Saudi Arabia, strengthening its position as a trusted partner in the global payments ecosystem.
