Checkout.com Enters Strategic Partnership with Spotify to Power Global Payments
Checkout.com, the global payments solutions provider, announced today a new strategic partnership with Spotify, the world’s most popular digital music and podcast streaming service.
Under the agreement, Checkout.com will provide Spotify with global payment acquiring services, ensuring a seamless, secure, and reliable checkout experience for Spotify’s users. The partnership will support Spotify’s more than 700 million monthly active users and over 280 million paid subscribers worldwide.
Checkout.com will enable high-performance payment experiences for Spotify users across more than 180 countries, leveraging its global scale and strong local acquiring capabilities to optimize payment performance in every market Spotify serves.

As part of the collaboration, Spotify will adopt Checkout.com’s Intelligent Acceptance, an advanced AI-powered payment optimization engine that uses real-time data from Checkout.com’s global network to intelligently route transactions, reduce false declines, and improve authorization rates.
The partnership also includes advanced authentication services and the use of network tokens, enhancing security and ensuring uninterrupted recurring payments for Spotify subscribers.
