Abwaab, the EdTech platform focused on the Middle East and North Africa, announced its acquisition of Apex Education, a startup specializing in elite university admissions services. The move aligns with Abwaab’s strategy to enhance educational excellence and help students reach their full potential across the region.

The acquisition strengthens Abwaab’s position along the entire student journey, from early learning and tutoring to higher education preparation and admission to top global universities. Apex Education brings specialized expertise in elite university admissions, offering personalized guidance to students and families.

Founded in 2019 by Laila Hassan (University of Oxford), Hussein Al-Khashen (University of Chicago), and Mohamed Obeid (Harvard University), Apex has helped students gain admission to prestigious institutions including Harvard, Columbia, Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, Brown, University of Chicago, Berkeley, UCLA, Imperial College London, UCL, and EPFL.
