Raya Holding and Five Portfolio Companies Earn Egyptian Gender Equity Seal from the National Council for Women
Raya Holding for Financial Investments, along with five of its portfolio companies — Raya Customer Experience, Aman Holding, Raya IT, Raya Electric, and Raya Smart Buildings — has been awarded the prestigious Egyptian Gender Equity Seal (EGES) by the National Council for Women. This recognition reaffirms the group’s commitment to fostering fair, inclusive, and supportive workplaces across its diverse operations.

The achievement underscores Raya’s long-standing dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and its alignment with global standards for women’s empowerment. It also marks a significant milestone in the group’s sustainability roadmap, directly advancing UN Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality, while supporting the pillars of Egypt Vision 2030, including social justice, human capital development, and robust governance principles.
The EGES, issued by the National Council for Women, is a distinguished national accreditation granted to organizations that demonstrate measurable, actionable progress toward equal opportunity and inclusive workplace practices. The evaluation spans a wide set of criteria such as inclusive recruitment, pay equity, leadership development for women, continuous learning and training, and maintaining safe, respectful work environments. Attaining this certification enhances a company’s competitiveness in the labor market and strengthens the confidence of investors and partners.
Commenting on the recognition, Marwa Hamza, Chief Human Resources Officer at Raya Holding, said:
“Receiving the Gender Equity Seal for Raya Holding and five of our portfolio companies reflects our deep commitment to applying global best practices in human resources — from inclusive hiring and pay equity to developing female leadership and ensuring safe, respectful workplaces. This achievement reinforces Raya’s position as a responsible and forward-thinking market leader, capable of thriving in fast-changing environments and contributing meaningfully to Egypt Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.”
She added:
“This milestone demonstrates that diversity and inclusion are not just ethical imperatives — they are powerful drivers of competitive growth. At Raya, investing in diverse and inclusive workplaces is fundamentally an investment in human capital. It strengthens teams, enhances resilience, and fuels sustainable growth. Gender equality and inclusive work environments are central to innovation, organizational strength, and long-term success.”
This latest recognition builds on a consistent record of external achievements. Raya Holding and several of its subsidiaries were previously honored as Top Employer Egypt for 2022, 2023, and 2024 by the Top Employers Institute, acknowledging excellence in HR practices, talent development, supportive work cultures, and the integration of diversity and inclusion across the organization.
