Huawei Launches 6th “HiRE” Forum to Empower Egyptian Youth and Boost Digital Jobs
Under the theme “Your Gateway to Tomorrow’s Industry,” Huawei, the global leader in ICT solutions, successfully held the 6th edition of its flagship employment forum — Huawei iTB Recruitment Expo (HiRE6) — under the auspices of Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Ministry of Labor.

The forum serves as a dynamic platform connecting Egyptian youth certified through Huawei’s global ICT training programs with leading employers across technology, banking, telecom, and industry sectors. This year’s edition featured over 100 participating companies, including Telecom Egypt, the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, METRA, TELE Tech, and Ecotel, offering thousands of employment and internship opportunities for digitally skilled talents.

Empowering Egypt’s Youth Through Digital Skills
The Huawei HiRE6 Forum aims to bridge the gap between education and employment by linking graduates from Huawei ICT Academies and the Huawei-NTI Egypt Talent Academy (ETA) with market needs in fast-growing fields such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Big Data, and DataCom.

H.E. Mohamed Gibran, Minister of Labor, praised the forum as “a distinguished model of partnership between the government and private sector to empower youth and prepare them for Egypt’s digital future.”
He added that under the leadership of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Egypt prioritizes investing in human capital, particularly young talents, as the driving force of Vision 2030.
> “Our collaboration with Huawei reflects the Ministry’s commitment to reskilling initiatives and creating high-quality jobs in sectors of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including AI, Cloud, and Cybersecurity,” the Minister stated.
He also commended Huawei’s efforts to promote inclusivity, including programs empowering people of determination and integrating them into Egypt’s workforce through specialized digital training.
Strategic Collaboration Between Huawei and NTI
Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecom Institute (NTI), highlighted that Huawei and NTI’s collaboration is “a long-term strategic partnership focused on developing world-class Egyptian talent.”
He noted that since the launch of the Huawei ICT Talent Bank (ITB) in 2019, more than 1,700 instructors have been certified, training nearly 60,000 young professionals through over 160 Huawei ICT Academies nationwide.
He added that the Egypt Talent Academy (ETA), launched in 2024, aims to train 15,000 youth in advanced technology fields over the next five years, while the Fiber Optic Technologies Academy—also launched in 2024—targets the training of 3,000 engineers and technicians to support Egypt’s expanding fiber network and national development projects.
> “This partnership represents a successful model of public-private collaboration, combining NTI’s scientific expertise with Huawei’s global technology leadership to ensure Egypt’s workforce remains competitive in a rapidly evolving digital economy,” Dr. Khattab stated.
Huawei’s Continued Commitment to Egypt’s Digital Transformation
Mr. Dou Yong, Senior Vice President of Huawei Egypt, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to empowering youth and building digital capabilities across the region:
> “At Huawei, we believe that investing in youth is investing in Egypt’s future. Through HiRE6, we aim to connect skilled Egyptian talents with the right opportunities, supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030 and its ambition to build a sustainable, innovation-driven economy.”
Eng. Asmaa Serag, Executive Director of Huawei ICT Academies Egypt, emphasized that HiRE is a cornerstone of Huawei’s capacity-building strategy to transform Egypt into a regional hub for digital talent.
This year’s edition adopted a hybrid model, combining in-person networking with a month-long online job platform to extend opportunities to a wider pool of applicants.
Honoring Excellence and Promoting Diversity
During the event, seven companies were honored for their exceptional contributions to youth employment and digital empowerment, while NTI instructors received recognition for their outstanding training efforts within the ETA framework.
On the sidelines, Huawei hosted a special panel titled “Women in Tech”, spotlighting women’s growing role in the ICT sector. The panel featured Dr. Eman Serag El-Din, Director of ETA and Head of Huawei’s AI Ambassadors Program; Dr. Lamia El-Fadaly, Huawei’s Most Valuable Instructor and Professor at MSA University; and Eng. Nadine Abdallah, a member of Huawei’s HCIP community.
Driving Egypt’s Vision for a Digital Future
The 6th HiRE Forum reaffirmed Huawei’s leadership in advancing Egypt’s digital transformation and commitment to fostering an ecosystem where innovation, inclusion, and opportunity converge.
Through sustained partnerships with government institutions, Huawei continues to invest in human capital development, equipping Egyptian youth with the skills needed to lead the industries of tomorrow.
