ITI and NVIDIA Celebrate Graduation of 1,800 Trainees from GenAI Bootcamp Empowering the Next Generation of AI Innovators in Egypt

The Information Technology Institute (ITI), in collaboration with NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Institute (DLI), marked the graduation of more than 1,800 trainees from 28 Egyptian universities under the Summer Code Camp – GenAI Bootcamp. The graduates earned international certifications from NVIDIA after successfully completing specialized training courses in Building LLM Applications with Prompt Engineering and Getting Started with Deep Learning.

The GenAI Bootcamp was designed to empower university students with the latest knowledge and practical expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science. The program consisted of two main learning tracks: Generative AI and AI and Data Science Fundamentals, both tailored to prepare students for the rapidly evolving digital economy.

The Generative AI track offered 35 hours of blended learning, combining self-paced modules on the NVIDIA DLI platform with expert mentorship from ITI professionals. Participants engaged in hands-on projects that simulated real-world applications of generative AI technologies, enhancing both their technical proficiency and creative problem-solving skills.

Meanwhile, the AI and Data Science Fundamentals program provided 90 hours of comprehensive training that integrated theoretical concepts with practical implementation. The program concluded with the NVIDIA-certified self-paced course Getting Started with Deep Learning, enabling participants to earn dual certifications jointly issued by ITI and NVIDIA.

Building on this success, ITI announced that the GenAI Bootcamp will continue to run throughout the year, targeting students from faculties of computer science and engineering nationwide. Interested applicants are encouraged to complete the Python Basics course on the Mahara-Tech Platform, along with an introductory course on large language model (LLM) fundamentals available on open-source learning platforms.

Through initiatives like the GenAI Bootcamp, ITI reaffirms its commitment to nurturing Egypt’s next generation of AI professionals, equipping them with globally recognized credentials and the skills needed to thrive in the future of work
