U.S. Dollar Holds Steady Against Egyptian Pound Across Banks

The U.S. dollar exchange rate showed relative stability in Egypt’s banking sector on Wednesday, following declines recorded at the close of Tuesday’s trading across ten banks. According to the latest updates published on banks’ official websites, the dollar registered slight decreases in both buying and selling rates.
At the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr, the dollar stood at EGP 48.47 for purchase and EGP 48.57 for sale, reflecting a drop of 3 piasters.
Banque du Caire posted EGP 48.44 for purchase and EGP 48.54 for sale, marking a 6-piaster decline. Meanwhile, the Commercial International Bank (CIB) reported EGP 48.47 for purchase and EGP 48.57 for sale, down 3 piasters.
At Al Baraka Bank, rates settled at EGP 48.45 for purchase and EGP 48.55 for sale, showing a 5-piaster decrease. Similarly, Suez Canal Bank listed EGP 48.47 for purchase and EGP 48.57 for sale, with a 6-piaster drop.
Credit Agricole Egypt recorded EGP 48.43 for purchase and EGP 48.53 for sale, down 3 piasters, while AlexBank and Housing & Development Bank each listed the dollar at EGP 48.47 for purchase and EGP 48.57 for sale, both reflecting a 3-piaster decline.
The Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) reported the highest rate, quoting the dollar at EGP 48.58 for purchase and EGP 48.68 for sale, down 1 piaster.
Despite minor fluctuations, the overall trend indicates relative stability in the U.S. dollar’s performance against the Egyptian pound during today’s trading session.
