Huawei and Emirates Launch HarmonyOS 5 Smartwatch App, Ushering in a New Era of Seamless Travel

In a landmark move that redefines the future of smart travel, global technology leader Huawei and the world’s largest international airline, Emirates, have officially launched the Emirates HarmonyOS 5 smartwatch app, marking a significant milestone in their ongoing strategic partnership.
The announcement follows the recent renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two companies at the 2025 Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai. With this launch, Emirates becomes one of the first international airlines to integrate its digital services with Huawei’s next-generation HarmonyOS 5, solidifying the duo’s shared commitment to innovation, enhanced customer experience, and intelligent ecosystem connectivity—particularly in the fast-growing Chinese travel market.
A New Standard in Smart Travel Convenience
Designed to streamline the passenger journey from wrist to runway, the new Emirates smartwatch app provides Huawei device users with real-time flight notifications, itinerary summaries, and mobile boarding pass access—directly from their smartwatch interface. By leveraging the cross-device integration and AI-powered features of HarmonyOS 5, the app enables a seamless, app-free user experience, removing the need to launch third-party platforms.
