OMODA X Makes Global Debut in China with Advanced Intelligent Driving and Crossover Technology
OMODA & JAECOO has officially unveiled the new OMODA X in China, introducing the crossover at OMODA X NIGHT during the brand’s International User Summit on October 20.
The new model combines the practicality of an everyday SUV with off-road capability, sporty styling and intelligent technologies designed for both urban driving and outdoor activities.

OMODA X Combines Crossover Design with Off-Road Capability
OMODA & JAECOO describes the OMODA X as the world’s first “CROSS OFF-ROAD” vehicle, designed to bridge traditional vehicle categories.
The model features a wide-body stance, sculpted exterior surfaces and distinctive lightning-shaped taillights. Inside, the MECHA Command Cockpit adopts a twin-wing design and an X-shaped floating center console.
The cabin includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.2-inch central touchscreen, complemented by physical controls for frequently used functions such as air conditioning and driving modes.
Advanced Technology Enhances the OMODA X Experience
The OMODA X offers 200 mm of ground clearance and a designed wading capability exceeding 700 mm. It also provides a towing capacity of up to 1,800 kg, a roof-load capacity of 75 kg and 39 storage spaces for outdoor equipment and other items.
Its Super Intelligent AI Space (SIAS) enables natural voice interaction without requiring wake words, while the X-MODE personalised driving system allows drivers to adjust vehicle settings and performance responses according to their preferences.
The vehicle also features an infrared thermal-imaging night-vision system capable of identifying potential hazards from up to 90 metres away.
An in-car karaoke system with four independent sound pickup zones allows passengers to sing without using handheld microphones.
Global Users Contribute to OMODA X Design
The OMODA X Co-Creation Project also formed part of the vehicle’s global debut, with users from Indonesia, Brazil, South Africa and Poland presenting designs and concepts inspired by their cultures and interests.
The initiative highlights the role of international users in contributing to the model’s identity and development.
Intelligent Parking Technologies Demonstrated in China
Alongside the OMODA X unveiling, the Super Intelligent Experience Lab, held from October 19 to 21 in China, provided media representatives and guests with demonstrations of technologies across the OMODA & JAECOO portfolio.
The Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) system was demonstrated on the JAECOO 5, JAECOO 7 and OMODA 7.
Under the concept “COME TO YOU. PARK FOR YOU.”, the demonstrations covered automated vehicle pickup, parking in narrow spaces and active obstacle avoidance.
The vehicles followed planned routes to designated pickup points and adjusted their positioning to complete challenging parking manoeuvres.
OMODA & JAECOO noted that SIVP is an assisted-driving feature, requiring drivers to remain attentive and ready to take control at all times. The system also requires stable network connectivity and enclosed parking areas for activation.
OMODA & JAECOO Expands Global Automotive Presence
The unveiling comes as OMODA & JAECOO continues to expand its international operations. The company said it has achieved one million cumulative global vehicle sales within three years, which it describes as the fastest growth rate in the global automotive industry.
The brand’s presence has expanded to 79 markets across Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
In Europe, OMODA & JAECOO has entered 23 countries and reports being among the fastest-growing automotive brands in the region.
OMODA & JAECOO Records More Than 6,000 UAE Sales
In the UAE, OMODA & JAECOO has recorded more than 6,000 cumulative vehicle sales, with the JAECOO J7 serving as the brands’ leading model in the market.
The intelligent technologies demonstrated during the China summit could support everyday driving in the UAE, particularly when navigating tight underground parking areas and reducing the need for drivers to walk long distances across exposed parking areas during extreme heat or sudden rainfall.
