Egypt Gold Prices Edge Higher in Early Trading as Weaker Dollar Supports Global Rebound

Gold prices in Egypt recorded a slight uptick at the opening of trading on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, compared to the closing levels of the previous session.

Globally, bullion prices edged higher during Tuesday's trading, supported by a pullback in the U.S. dollar, while market participants maintain a watchful stance ahead of key U.S. inflation data that could offer fresh guidance on the Federal Reserve's monetary policy trajectory in the period ahead.

Gold Prices Today in Egypt

Workmanship fees and making charges continue to vary across jewelry retailers and geographic areas. According to data published by the "iSagha" platform, the average gold prices across Egypt on Tuesday—excluding workmanship fees—stood as follows:

24-Karat Gold: The highest-purity standard registered EGP 7,217 for sale and EGP 7,160 for purchase per gram.

21-Karat Gold: The primary benchmark favored by domestic consumers stood at EGP 6,315 for sale and EGP 6,265 for purchase per gram at the time of reporting.

18-Karat Gold: Traded at EGP 5,413 for sale and EGP 5,370 for purchase per gram.
