 Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman of "e-finance for Digital and Financial Investments" Group, stated that the technology and digital transformation sector is facing escalating challenges despite the promising opportunities it presents. He emphasized that effectively countering these cyber threats demands close cooperation among all stakeholders, including the government, the private sector, and technology end-users.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 5th Information Security and Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition (CAISEC 2026), Sarhan underscored a critical shift in the industry's approach to digital safety. He noted that security and protection are no longer an afterthought or a subsequent phase; rather, they have become foundational elements that must be integrated from the very design of digital services and maintained throughout their operational lifecycle to ensure sustainability and efficiency.

Government Backing and Regional Ambitions Sarhan highlighted that the extensive governmental participation in this regional event reflects an advanced level of national awareness regarding the vital role of cybersecurity in supporting digital transformation. He pointed out that the Egyptian state places immense importance on fortifying the cybersecurity ecosystem, aiming to solidify Egypt's position as a leading regional hub in this field across Africa and the Arab world.
