Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt Reports 22.5% Growth as Business Volume Hits EGP 300.7 Billion
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt has announced a substantial expansion in its financial indicators, with its total volume of business surging to EGP 300.756 billion at the end of April 2026. This is compared to EGP 245.440 billion recorded at the end of April 2025, marking an absolute year-on-year increase of EGP 55.316 billion and a robust growth rate of 22.5%.
Asset Allocation and Deposit Balance Growth The bank’s financial statements revealed that total assets climbed to EGP 293.950 billion by the close of April 2026, up from EGP 242.771 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year—reflecting an increase of EGP 51.179 billion, or 21.1%. Concurrently, total financing and investment balances reached EGP 272.321 billion, compared to EGP 223.624 billion at the end of April 2025, gaining EGP 48.697 billion at an expansion rate of 21.8%.
On the liability side, current accounts and savings pools grew to EGP 217.642 billion, up from EGP 186.281 billion, showing a net increase of EGP 31.361 billion and a growth of 16.8%. Total shareholders' equity also witnessed a steady upward trajectory, closing at EGP 44.465 billion by the end of April 2026 compared to EGP 38.436 billion in April 2025, which represents a gain of EGP 6.029 billion and a growth rate of 15.7%.
Retail Operational Footprint Operationally, the Islamic lender significantly widened its consumer onboarding metrics. The total number of customer accounts rose to 2.506 million, compared to 2.041 million accounts in the prior year, adding 465,000 new accounts at a growth rate of 22.8%. To support this expanding customer base, the bank’s automated teller machine (ATM) network expanded to 653 machines by the end of April 2026, up from 592 units in April 2025—an addition of 61 new terminals representing a 10.3% network expansion. Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt continues to anchor its nationwide retail presence through 43 fully operational branches distributed across various Egyptian governorates.
