Amazon Deploys 29 New Project Kuiper Internet Satellites into Low Earth Orbit

Amazon has successfully launched 29 new internet satellites into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) as part of its ongoing deployment strategy for Project Kuiper. The initiative aims to expand the company's satellite constellation to deliver high-speed, low-latency broadband internet to users globally, particularly in remote regions lacking traditional telecommunications infrastructure.

Launch and Mission Telemetry The company stated in an official announcement on Saturday that the launch took place from Space Launch Complex 41 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, USA. The mission utilized an Atlas V rocket provided by United Launch Alliance (ULA). According to flight data, all phases of the journey proceeded precisely as scheduled, with all onboard systems operating stably throughout the entirety of the mission.

The statement added that the satellites were deployed in multiple phases after reaching their predetermined orbital coordinates. Mission control subsequently confirmed the successful separation of all 29 satellites from the rocket booster and their safe entry into orbit.

Targeting Global Connectivity Gaps Amazon emphasized that these new satellites are a core component of its Project Kuiper space internet network. The long-term commercial objective of the infrastructure is to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to residential, enterprise, and government customers worldwide, specifically targeting rural or isolated geographies that suffer from severe limitations in terrestrial network coverage.
