Foundever Reinforces Egypt Expansion Plans Following Strategic Meeting with MCIT and ITIDA

Foundever, the global customer experience and digital solutions company, has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to expanding operations in Egypt following a high-level strategic meeting with Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).

The meeting brought together Eng. Raafat Hindi, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA, and Eng. Mahmoud Sofrata, Vice President of ITIDA, alongside senior representatives from the ministry and the agency.

Foundever was represented by Benedita Miranda, Chief Operating Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Vitor Silva, Vice President of Operations, and Mina Wahba, Country Leader of Foundever Egypt.

The discussions focused on Foundever’s growing role in supporting Egypt’s ambitions to become a global hub for outsourcing, multilingual customer experience services, digital innovation, and AI-powered operations. The engagement also follows the recent memorandum of understanding signed between Foundever and ITIDA to support the company’s expansion strategy in Egypt.

During the meeting, Minister Raafat Hindi highlighted Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support multinational companies through investments in digital talent development, advanced infrastructure, and investment-friendly policies, while encouraging expansion into governorates outside Greater Cairo to unlock new talent pools.

ITIDA officials described Foundever as a strategic partner in Egypt’s national strategy to strengthen its position as a leading destination for global outsourcing and digital services.

Foundever revealed that its workforce in Egypt has now reached approximately 2,700 employees across its operations in Maadi, Nasr City, and Luxor, reflecting the company’s accelerated expansion and growing confidence in Egyptian talent.

As part of its next phase of growth, the company announced plans to increase headcount at its Luxor center to 1,000 employees by next quarter, reinforcing its commitment to creating job opportunities in Upper Egypt and supporting regional development. Foundever also confirmed plans to launch a new operational hub in Giza during the current year.

Benedita Miranda said the company is evolving from a traditional business process outsourcing provider into a technology-enabled and people-led customer experience company powered by artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, and digital innovation.

“Egypt continues to stand out as one of the strongest delivery hubs globally thanks to its exceptional talent, multilingual capabilities, and customer-centric culture,” Miranda said. “What truly differentiates Egypt is the soft skills of its people. Combined with strong language capabilities, Egypt has become one of the best customer experience delivery hubs worldwide.”

Miranda also highlighted Foundever’s growing investments in AI and technology, including its AI Center of Excellence in Barcelona, which already includes Egyptian AI developers contributing to global innovation projects.

The company additionally shared updates regarding the upcoming launch of AgentTech AI, Foundever’s proprietary AI-powered platform designed to enhance operational performance and customer engagement.

The meeting also reviewed Foundever’s cooperation with ITIDA through the “Train to Hire” initiative, alongside the company’s Language Academy programs in Cairo and Luxor, which prepare candidates for careers in multilingual customer service and outsourcing operations.

Foundever also highlighted its “Freelance Mama” initiative, a corporate social responsibility program that has graduated more than 250 mothers by equipping them with digital and freelance skills to access flexible employment opportunities.

Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA, said Foundever’s continued expansion reflects growing confidence among global companies in Egypt’s outsourcing ecosystem and highly skilled workforce.

“These investments directly support Egypt’s vision of becoming a global leader in digital services and the offshoring industry,” Elzaher said, reaffirming ITIDA’s commitment to supporting the sector through specialized training programs that address global demand for multilingual talent.

Mina Wahba, Country Leader of Foundever Egypt, described reaching 2,700 employees as a major milestone for the company’s operations in the country.

“With our Luxor growth plans, Giza expansion, and continued investments in AI-enabled operations, we remain committed to investing in Egyptian talent and contributing to the continued growth of Egypt’s ICT sector,” Wahba said.
