Egypt’s Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council Concludes EU-Backed Program; Prepares European Trade Mission

The Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council (CEC) has officially announced the successful completion of its participation in the Euromed Cluster Forward Program. Supported by the European Union and implemented by Berytech, the initiative aligns with the Council's broader strategy to expand the market share of Egyptian industrial enterprises within EU territories and forge new trade and investment corridors in the chemical and fertilizer sectors.

The Council characterized the program as a high-value technical and organizational milestone. The executive brief credited the continuous monitoring, coordination, and professional framework provided by the Berytech project management team across all phases for maximizing the strategic benefits delivered to both the Council and its targeted member companies.

French Preparatory Matrix and Access Mechanisms

A core outcome of the program was the successful execution of an initial preparatory mission to France, identified by the Council as one of the most promising hub markets for chemical and fertilizer commodities within the European Union. The preparatory deployment enabled direct B2B matchmaking sessions and corporate meetings with an array of French industrial organizations and commercial enterprises.

The mission also provided the Council with critical intelligence regarding contemporary European market access regulatory mechanisms, technical standard requirements, and potential high-yield areas of bilateral industrial cooperation.

Bilateral Cooperation and Trade Mission Readiness

Khaled Abou El Makarem, Chairman of the Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council, stated that the program serves as a successful blueprint for regional and international public-private collaboration designed to elevate the competitiveness of Egyptian manufacturing assets. "The positive milestones secured during the preliminary French mission underscore the critical importance of embedding our export strategies within effective frameworks backed by European and international institutions," Abou El Makarem noted.

He further disclosed that the Council's operations team is currently finalizing logistics and compliance parameters for an upcoming comprehensive trade mission to Europe. Positioned as a direct commercial offshoot of the preliminary mission, the incoming initiative aims to accelerate immediate export volumes and secure hard-currency trade contracts by establishing direct communication loops between Egyptian industrial suppliers and European off-takers.
