Orange Egypt Launches Autism Care Center in Upper Egypt to Support Thousands of Children

Orange Egypt has announced the launch of a new autism care center in Sohag Governorate, Upper Egypt, aimed at providing specialized support for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The initiative comes in collaboration with the SETI Center for Training and Disability Studies, affiliated with Caritas Egypt, and is backed by the Orange Foundation.
The new center is strategically located in Sohag to serve thousands of children across Upper Egypt, including the governorates of Qena and Aswan. It is expected to directly and indirectly benefit around 2,000 children and adolescents, from as young as two years old up to 18, through partnerships with local community organizations.
Designed to deliver comprehensive and specialized care, the facility is equipped with advanced infrastructure, including sensory integration rooms tailored to address the challenges faced by children with autism in processing sensory input. The center also features dedicated training spaces and customized intervention programs that utilize a range of evidence-based educational and rehabilitation approaches aimed at improving children’s skills and enhancing their participation in community life.
As part of its commitment to delivering sustainable and inclusive social impact, Orange Egypt will also provide specialized training programs for families of children with autism. These programs are designed to help parents better understand their children’s behaviors and equip them with scientifically grounded methods to support their development, ultimately maximizing the benefits of therapeutic interventions provided at the center.
In addition, the initiative includes partnerships with local healthcare and educational service providers, as well as civil society organizations, to expand access to specialized intervention programs and raise community awareness حول autism. The goal is to promote early detection, encourage social inclusion, and empower communities to better support children with autism in their daily lives.
Maha Nagy, Chief Corporate Communications Officer at Orange Egypt, said the launch reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to community development through impactful and sustainable initiatives. “We are dedicated to improving quality of life and fostering social inclusion, particularly for the most vulnerable groups, including children with autism,” she said.
She added: “Our initiatives are built on strong scientific foundations to ensure meaningful, measurable impact. Choosing Upper Egypt for this center underscores our commitment to extending our services to underserved communities, in alignment with Egypt’s national development goals and efforts to promote inclusive growth.”
For her part, Dr. Madeleine Sabry, General Supervisor of the SETI Center at Caritas Egypt, described the new facility as a tangible expression of the belief that every child deserves care, understanding, and support regardless of their geographic location or circumstances. She highlighted the importance of the partnership with Orange Egypt in delivering an integrated model that combines scientific rehabilitation, family support, and community awareness, paving the way for a more inclusive society that embraces children of all abilities.
