Egypt’s Ministry of Civil Aviation and Microsoft Partner to Elevate Passenger Experience via AI
Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, met with a high-level delegation from Microsoft, led by Naim Yazbeck, General Manager for Middle East and Africa, to discuss expanding strategic cooperation in digital transformation. The meeting centered on the existing agreement between EgyptAir and Microsoft, which aims to integrate advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to refine the travel experience and enhance operational efficiency for the national carrier.
Minister El-Hefny emphasized the Ministry's commitment to scaling digital solutions across the aviation sector, aligning with Egypt's broader national vision for a digital economy. Beyond hardware and software, the partnership focuses on specialized training and knowledge transfer to equip the aviation workforce with the technical expertise needed to navigate the rapidly evolving global air transport industry. Microsoft representatives reaffirmed their readiness to provide comprehensive technical support and tailored training programs to bolster institutional capacity within the sector.
