Egyptian Stock Exchange Opens Tuesday Session Higher, Main Index Gains 0.8%
The Egyptian Stock Exchange recorded gains at the start of Tuesday’s trading session, with the benchmark EGX30 index rising by 0.80% to 45,410 points.
The EGX70 index, which tracks small- and mid-cap companies, advanced by 0.50% to 12,669 points, while the broader EGX100 index climbed 0.63% to reach 17,130 points.
At the opening of trading, total market capitalization stood at approximately EGP 3.1 trillion. Meanwhile, total trading value reached around EGP 706 million, executed through nearly 18.5 thousand transactions.
In terms of investor behavior, Egyptian and foreign investors turned net buyers, recording net purchases of EGP 19.6 million and EGP 37.8 million, respectively. In contrast, Arab investors headed toward selling, with net sales amounting to EGP 57.4 million.
