For the Ninth Consecutive Month, Nissan Leads Passenger Car Registrations in Egypt in December

For the ninth month in a row, Nissan maintained its lead in Egypt’s passenger car licensing market, recording 2,493 newly licensed vehicles during December, according to official data released by the Egyptian Compulsory Motor Insurance Pool.

The figures confirm Nissan’s continued dominance in the local market, reflecting strong consumer demand and sustained performance across its passenger vehicle lineup.

Hyundai ranked second with a total of 2,096 licensed vehicles, followed by Chery in third place after registering 1,641 cars. MG came fourth with 1,630 licensed units.

In fifth place, Jetour recorded 1,229 vehicles, while Toyota ranked sixth with 1,123 cars. Mercedes-Benz followed in seventh place, registering 985 vehicles.

Eighth place went to Soueast with 923 licensed cars, while Kia ranked ninth at 726 vehicles. Skoda completed the top ten with 696 licensed cars.

Outside the top ten, Volkswagen ranked eleventh with 650 vehicles, followed by Renault in twelfth place at 582 cars. Changan came thirteenth with 496 vehicles.

Meanwhile, BAIC ranked fourteenth after licensing 429 cars, while Mitsubishi rounded out the list in fifteenth place with 339 vehicles.

The December data highlights sustained activity in Egypt’s passenger car market, with Japanese, South Korean, and Chinese brands continuing to dominate licensing volumes amid steady consumer demand.
