Hermes Tops Brokerage Firms by Trading Value in 2025

EFG Hermes Brokerage topped the list of brokerage firms operating in the Egyptian capital market by trading value during 2025, according to official market statistics covering the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025.

The rankings reflect trading activity across the main market, the SME market, and the over-the-counter market, including equities, bonds, and block trades executed on the Egyptian Exchange.

EFG Hermes Brokerage led the market with total trading value of EGP 337.72 billion, accounting for 12.5 percent of overall market turnover. The firm recorded a trading volume of 58.47 billion securities through 2.91 million executed transactions.

Thndr ranked second, posting trading value of EGP 224.59 billion, representing 8.3 percent of total market trading. Thndr recorded the highest trading volume among all firms at 125.69 billion securities and led the market by number of transactions, with 15.34 million trades executed.

EFG Hermes International Brokerage came in third place with trading value of EGP 206.66 billion, capturing a 7.6 percent market share. The firm traded 10.26 billion securities through 880.6 thousand transactions.

In fourth place was Mubasher Trade, which recorded trading value of EGP 194.44 billion, equivalent to a 7.2 percent market share. Trading volume reached 82.92 billion securities across 4.16 million transactions.

CI Capital Brokerage ranked fifth after achieving trading value of EGP 166.84 billion, representing 6.2 percent of the market. The firm recorded trading volume of 52.38 billion securities through 1.80 million transactions.

Beltone Securities secured sixth place with trading value of EGP 136.12 billion, accounting for 5 percent of total market activity. Trading volume reached 29.96 billion securities, executed through 1.30 million transactions.

In seventh place, Cairo Capital Securities recorded trading value of EGP 127.58 billion, representing a 4.7 percent market share, with trading volume of 39.51 billion securities across 1.50 million transactions.

Pioneers Securities ranked eighth, posting trading value of EGP 118.41 billion and a market share of 4.4 percent. The firm traded 51.41 billion securities through 2.50 million transactions.

Aswaq Securities came ninth with trading value of EGP 117.57 billion, also representing 4.4 percent of total market activity. Trading volume reached 63.74 billion securities through 3.14 million transactions.

Rounding out the top ten, Arabeya Online recorded trading value of EGP 96.72 billion, capturing 3.6 percent of total market trading, with volume of 34.47 billion securities executed across 1.82 million transactions.

The data highlight continued concentration of trading activity among the leading brokerage firms, reflecting strong competition and sustained liquidity across Egypt’s capital markets throughout 2025.
