NTRA Ensures Telecom Readiness Ahead of the Grand Egyptian Museum Opening
In line with the directives of Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) continues its intensive efforts to ensure the highest quality of telecom services during the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum on Saturday, November 1st.
As part of these preparations, NTRA has been working to guarantee the full readiness of Egypt’s telecommunications infrastructure to meet the demands of this landmark global event.
In this context, the NTRA has coordinated and supported network operations within the museum’s premises, in cooperation with mobile network operators, to strengthen connectivity and capacity. The authority has also conducted comprehensive quality measurements for telecom services along all main routes leading to the museum — including roads connecting airports to the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Giza Pyramids area.
Additionally, NTRA has overseen the installation of numerous antennas and mobile stations to ensure seamless, high-quality communication services and the highest coverage rates for visitors and international delegations attending the event.
> The initiative underscores Egypt’s commitment to providing world-class communication services during one of its most anticipated cultural openings, reinforcing the nation’s position as a regional leader in ICT infrastructure and digital readiness.
