Kaspersky Launches Enhanced Thin Client 2.3, Delivering Superior Performance and Security at GITEX 2025

At GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, Kaspersky unveiled the latest version of its operating system for thin clients — Kaspersky Thin Client 2.3 — marking a major step forward in the company’s commitment to performance, connectivity, and cyber resilience. The new release enhances device compatibility and operational efficiency, while reinforcing security capabilities across enterprise IT environments.

According to Research Nester, the global thin client market, valued at $1.64 billion in 2025, is projected to reach $2.27 billion by 2035. The surge is fueled by rising demand for secure, cost-effective, and easy-to-manage computing solutions where processing power is centralized on powerful servers. Responding to this growing trend, Kaspersky continues to evolve its Thin Client platform to meet the expanding needs of enterprise users worldwide.

A Secure-by-Design Architecture

Built on KasperskyOS, the Kaspersky Thin Client is a microkernel-based operating system engineered according to Secure-by-Design principles. Security mechanisms are integrated from the earliest stages of development, ensuring protection at every operational layer.

Through Kaspersky Security Center, organizations gain full centralized management — enabling seamless configuration, monitoring, and control of all connected devices. This architecture positions Kaspersky Thin Client as an ideal solution for industries requiring high assurance, reliability, and performance, such as finance, healthcare, and critical infrastructure.

Enhanced Performance and Protection

Version 2.3 introduces comprehensive support for UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface), replacing traditional BIOS systems. This upgrade accelerates boot times while enabling Secure Boot, which safeguards against unauthorized code or firmware modifications during startup. Together, these features deliver faster system responsiveness and a stronger defense against cyber threats.

Broader Device Connectivity

Kaspersky Thin Client 2.3 now supports a wide range of peripherals — including USB drives, printers, scanners, webcams, and headsets — ensuring seamless compatibility across both Windows and Linux environments.

Administrators can centrally manage hardware, applications, and user interface settings from a unified console. End-users benefit from a familiar, flexible desktop experience, while organizations enjoy reduced maintenance costs and optimized infrastructure efficiency.

Smarter Customization and User Experience

The latest version also introduces custom desktop environments, allowing administrators to display only authorized applications for specific users — minimizing clutter and boosting productivity. Interface customization options now enable businesses to align the system’s visual identity with corporate branding.

Moreover, built-in videoconferencing support enhances collaboration and allows for efficient remote technical assistance, further improving usability across distributed teams.

Kaspersky Thin Client 2.3 is currently available on the Centerm F620 hardware platform.

Driving the Future of Secure End-User Computing

“Our ongoing efforts are dedicated to enhancing Kaspersky Thin Client, ensuring that our solution not only aligns with evolving market demands but also maintains an intuitive user experience,” said Dmitry Lukiyan, Head of KasperskyOS Business Unit. “As organizations seek to mitigate cybersecurity risks, the Cyber Immunity approach underpinning Kaspersky Thin Client ensures unparalleled data integrity and secure remote desktop connections — forming the foundation of a dependable, resilient IT infrastructure.”
